English Language Development
Meadow Park Middle School and Beaverton School District are committed to ensuring that all students have equal access and opportunities for
achieving to high standards, regardless of the languages spoken at home. In order to carry out this
commitment, our district provides the interpretation and translation services to the families through the BSD
Welcome Center, located in the building of the Beaverton Activities Center. At the Welcome Center, we have
bilingual staff members who are happy to answer your questions at any time. Our Bilingual Facilitators speak
Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Somali. Additional language support can be
provided as resources are available.
If you need an interpreter for the parent teacher conferences or other meetings with teachers, or if you would
like to contact your child’s school but do not know the contact person, please call the Welcome Center at (503)
672-3715. Our bilingual facilitators will help with any other questions or concerns. If an interpreter is not
available, please feel free to leave a message in your language, and you will be contacted as soon as possible.
