Two-Way Immersion Program
Beaverton School District has three Two-Way Immersion (TWI) programs at Aloha Huber Park K – l, Barnes, and Vose Elementary schools, Arco Iris Spanish Immersion Charter and Hope Chinese Charter. These programs offer 50-50, 60-40, and 90-10 models for students from kindergarten to 5th grade.
Barnes is the feeder middle school for Meadow Park and offers two classes of Spanish for their students who are in the bilingual program. Sixth and seventh grade TWI students take Spanish Language Arts and Science in Spanish as part of the program. The rest of their classes are in English. At the 8th grade level, students only take a Spanish Language Arts course focused on building literacy skills.
