Vose Community Scholarship Fund

History

When some 5th graders nominated their teacher for a K103 Educator of the week award, she won. This award came with a $103 prize and the class debated what to do with the money. They decided that they would use it as seed money to make someone else's life better. They decided to use the money to organize a garage sale, which would raise funds for college scholarships to award to former Vose graduates, to help them begin their journey to college. The students helped plan and carry out the garage sale and that first year we gave away two $1,000.00 scholarships! Since then we have given a $1,000 scholarship to five students who have now been able to continue their education, thanks to the generosity and hard work of their teachers, community and younger supporters!

Dinner benefit: Work with a local restaurant or business to provide a fundraising event, with a percentage of revenue going directly to support our scholarship fund. We will promote the event within the Beaverton School District and community.
