BSD has three vacancies on the Budget Committee. The Budget Committee reviews the district’s budget and may recommend changes.

The district is seeking applicants for a new Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) Advisory Committee. The committee will explore and develop suggested guidelines for the responsible use of Generative AI applications in BSD.

In October, turnout for the school board meeting exceeded the capacity of the boardroom. To adhere to fire safety code, some new procedures will be in place for future board meetings.

At our recent BSD Awards ceremony, Cedar Mill Bible Church was honored with the "Faith Partner of the Year Award" for their support of numerous BSD schools with programs like monthly food backpacks.

November is National Native American Heritage Month. Last year, Tamarro Rodrick of the Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma worked with Noly Chouinard of the Cree Nation to perform Native drum songs for an all-school assembly.
